HIGHBURY FAMILY HOME
This five-bedroom Victorian home in Highbury, Islington was reimagined to make the most of its generous proportions and strong architectural presence. With double-height ceilings and expansive wall surfaces, the design leans into a sense of scale while creating spaces that feel grounded and comfortable for everyday family life.
The living, kitchen and dining areas are brought together through a continuous poured resin floor, allowing the spaces to flow easily from one to the next. Darker wall tones are used to temper the volume, adding depth and helping to define each area within the open plan.
Artwork plays an integral role throughout, bringing contrast and personality to the interiors. Bold, graphic pieces are set against deeper tones, while a mix of contemporary furniture, vintage elements and layered textiles softens the architecture and adds warmth. A considered palette of blues, reds and earthy tones runs throughout, creating cohesion while allowing each space to retain its own identity.
